If you’re wanting both substantial and steady, you’re in for a rude awakening. Not only that, but the compensation you can get from blogging fluctuates wildly.
You Want Something Easy To Do
Blogging might seem easy at first but it’s super tedious to do it the right way. Blogging is a form of copywriting that definitely helps the SEO on your website; both of which we just spoke about in the blog and in the podcast. For blogging to ‘work’ so to speak, it needs to be done consistently, without fail. That means you run into the risk of running out of things to say ! It takes so much research and creativity to prevent that. So yeah, it’s not an easy ride, bucko.
BUT BESIDES THAT, IT’S AWESOME TO BLOG
If you own a business, blogging helps to educate your audience more on what you do and why it matters to you. You can also mesh them with your newsletters to help promote sales.
When you write your blogs SEO style it helps to attract people to your website. Say you’re blogging about how to fly a kite and so you make your keyword ‘kite’. Whenever people Google ‘kite’ there’s an opportunity for your blog, your website, to come up. This is way more cost effective than having to always take out ads to get discovered.
